Had I ordered it for downstairs it would have looked like we were performing surgery in the living room. It has four light level adjustments, so it is a very bright light and great for crafts, artwork, or reading. Then I realized the weight was from the round base to hold the lamp itself in place. The box itself was heavy and wasn’t sure why. The new lamp came, and I instantly feel in love with it before I got it out of the box.

Lightbulb went off in my head and the solution was to do a switcheroo with the task lamp I had upstairs and to order a new Microsun Lamp floor lamp for the upstairs studio. Looked up the details on the Microsun Lamps specification but realized it would be too tall (57’’H) for the room.
Then Tracy mentions a lamp that he saw advertised in the Wall Street Journal. Started with one of my favorites lighting companies Y Lighting and saw a few that would do the trick. I started looking for a replacement that would go with the existing décor and wanted a swing style arm in a floor lamp.
The lamp we bought was somewhat inexpensive and hasn’t stood the test of time. This allows us to share the light source that is close to both seating areas. Like others I start most mornings reading and using the floor lamp that I share with Tracy that is next to our chairs.
